Let's give Clairac back what belongs to him! Because it is in this pretty village on the banks of the Lot, upon returning from the Crusades, that was introduced the famous ente plum.

With her beautiful “sergeant major” colored dress and her tender and voluptuous flesh, she makes all the greengage queens of France turn green with jealousy.. It is even she who, after a drying process perfected over the centuries, gave the famous Agen prune! But Clairac is also a beautiful beach on the Lot river, typical medieval streets and half-timbered houses made of briquettes which will tell you the history of Protestantism in France.

Clairac, City without a king, soldiers without fear

In Clairac, we have always played the role of rebel, whether it be royal authority or religion. And it is not only through its history that Clairac cultivates its difference, it is also one of the only villages in our territory to be bordered by the dark waters of the Lot. But that doesn't matter, since one of the city's mottos is Lux Clareat, “Let the light shine”.

Clairac is a stronghold of Protestantism in the South-West, but it also has the particularity of being on one of the variants of the Camino de Santiago (GR®654-East) which connects Bergerac to Montréal-du-Gers.
