More vineyards or orchards? Culture weekend ou nature stay ?

Don't choose any more with the Lot valley cycle route. From Aiguillon to Cahors, this route partly in Val de Garonne makes everyone agree. Not to mention its connection between the Lot department and the Val de Garonne! Find your route, get on the bikes and set off on the cycle route along one of our most beautiful rivers. 3, 2, 1… Great start!

The Lot valley by bike, quésaco?

First step: we grab a card. If the Garonne is used to flowing straight, the Lot is easily located thanks to its meanders which loop and curl from Agenais to Quercy. You have the Lot valley! Now imagine a 147 km cycle route that connects Aiguillon to Cahors following the curves of the river, and you get the Lot valley route by bike. Finally add a fully signposted route, a slight difference in altitude as well as a large portion of greenway and that's it.

THE LITTLE STORY THAT MAKES THE BIG STORY…

À Like Rome, the Lot valley cycle route (V86) was not done in a day! Inaugurated by Lot-et-Garonne in 2002, the cycle path is initially limited to the Aiguillon-Fumel portion and allows you to come across some tourist gems such as the medieval village of Penne d'Agenais or the powerful Château de Bonaguil. It will be necessary to wait 2008 to extend the route to Cahors and 2012 to finally connect the route to Canal of the 2 seas by bike

The Lot valley by bike on the Val de Garonne side…

Choosing the Lot valley by bike means offering yourself a summary of what the region does best in terms of tourism! Local gastronomy, beautiful restaurants and local flavors between two pedal strokes.
