Nestled in a meander, Couthures-sur-Garonne lives to the rhythm of the river.
Discover the history of this typical village of the middle Garonne who lives according to the floods of the river. The city stretches along the Garonne of which it hugs the right bank for more than two kilometers. Embark on the quays which overlook the river and immerse yourself in the history of Tonneins: the inland waterway, the ropes, the tobacco culture... You will also see the rocks of Reculé, a natural obstacle of the river which was formidable for commercial navigation in the 18th century century.
