To discover the Val de Garonne, take advantage of the visits accompanied by our storytellers from Pays du Lot-et-Garonne….

STEPHANE, our goldsmith specialist for visits…

Stéphane, is our tour guide from the Tourist Office. A visit to a city or heritage site without a guide is a summer without sun, a meal without tomatoes, a prune without a pit… Without it, the discoveries have less flavor. Because as its name does not indicate, the visit of a tour guide is not a conference: it's an experience !
A storyteller, historian and even actor, Stéphane has been a tour guide for over 20 years. Through these atypical visits, you will know everything (and even more) about Marmande, Couthures-sur-Garonne, Tonneins and Mas d'Agenais. So, follow the guide!

Marmande by the lantern!

Stéphane, Lecturer Guide, invites you every Monday evening to discover the heritage of the town of Marmande by the light of lanterns. A fun and offbeat visit around the scents of yesterday and today. Between dog and wolf, let yourself be told the dark mysteries and the tastiest legends of the city of tomatoes.

Every Monday from July 15 to August 19 at 21:30 p.m.

Country storytellers

Clairac, "City without Roy, Soldiers without fear", is a medieval city rich in a prestigious past at the heart of the history of France and Europe with its abbey where the Prune d'Ente was created or produced, tobacco and quality wine. Walking through Clairac also means walking in the footsteps of prestigious men and also anonymous people who made history.

> Chantal BEAUCOURT

Originally from the Masses, Chantal will introduce you to one of the oldest villages in Lot-et-Garonne. The Mas d'Agenais nestles at the top of a limestone terrace overlooking the Garonne Valley. The village has more than 2 years of history: we owe it the “Venus of the Mas” in Carrara marble, classified as one of the most beautiful antiques in Gaul. The Saint Vincent Collegiate Church, built on the foundations of a 000th century basilica and the current jewel which is the pride of all the inhabitants: “Christ on the Cross” by Rembrandt.
