A bold bet that this installation is just a stone's throw from the great Bordeaux vineyards in the Côtes du Marmandais appellation!
Elian Da Ros, after having studied in Alsace alongside Zind Humbrecht, returned to his native region and took over his father's vineyard, gradually increasing the surface area of the estate to encompass the most beautiful terroirs of Cocumont.
His vineyard is planted with the main grape varieties present in Bordeaux: merlot, cabernet, sauvignon and cabernet but there is also syrah and malbec, blended with an indigenous grape variety “l'abouriou” which he likens to a Gamay from the South West. Each plot is cultivated biodynamically, harvested and vinified separately and then assembled into the different vintages. Its first harvest dates from 1998.
