60 km from Agen, in the Val de Garonne, Marmande has a garden labeled "Remarkable Garden", a little outside the city center, the Jardins de Beauchamp. In 1996, Alain Jay and his son Sébastien, nurserymen from father to son, created a themed garden to put the plants in context and inspire visitors. They embarked on a gigantic project together.
After six years of work to create a pond, a waterfall, a labyrinth, a dovecote, the Beauchamp Gardens were inaugurated in 2004. Inspired by different regions of the world, they immerse you in varied atmospheres and colorful: zen, patio, undergrowth, priest's garden, palm grove, ... along the water in the form of a river, a pond, a Tuscan stream with its tall cypresses or even a biological koi pond.
