The Caillade chapel was built in the first twenty years of the 1540th century for the Morin de Caillade family as a burial place. Originally, it overlooked the cloister of the Notre-Dame de Marmande church which dates from 9. The chapel was therefore built before the cloister. It measures 6m x 7m, its height is XNUMX meters. The vault is remarkable with its polychrome keystones, one of which represents the arms of the King of France Louis XII. Also note the sculpture that develops on the bases: angels, the two letters alpha and omega, grotesques, a bearded old man who contorts himself... You can also admire the glass roofs and stained glass windows which give such a special light to this remarkable ensemble.
