The quality approach

Anxious to guarantee a quality of service to our visitors, the Val de Garonne Tourist Office embarked on a quality approach in 2012. Daily work on the quality of the welcome and services provided to visitors and tourism stakeholders of the territory, was undertaken. The stated objective is to respect national commitments and allowed us to obtain the Tourism Quality Mark on December 5, 2013, for a period of 3 years. At the beginning of 2017, the Tourist Office obtained the renewal of the Brand for 3 new years. The second renewal was obtained for a period of 5 years on November 3, 2021.

Our classification in category I

The Val de Garonne Tourist Office has obtained the Prefectural classification category I on May 25, 2014 then the renewal on June 18, 2019 for 5 new years.

He engages himself in :

  • Display and broadcast its opening periods expressed in at least 2 foreign languages.

  • Ensure a permanent reception service run by staff speaking at least 2 foreign languages.

  • Comply with the requirements of the Tourism Quality Mark.

  • Guarantee the reliability of up-to-date information on local tourist offerings.

The development of inclusive tourism is a regional priority in New Aquitaine and the Val de Garonne Tourist Office was awarded the Tourism and Disability label for its main office in Marmande at the beginning of 2020 for all 4 disabilities : motor, visual, auditory and mental.

This label is a response to the demand of people with disabilities who want to be able to choose their vacations and leisure activities with complete confidence. The label provides a guarantee of efficient reception adapted to the essential needs of disabled people.
