Description
The Côtes du Marmandais appellation has a major particularity: it is shared by the Garonne river and its vineyard extends over both hillsides on the right bank and the left bank. The valley is a sort of non-wine no man's land separating the two vineyards. For decades, the history of these hillsides was written separately. On the right bank, very close to the town of Marmande, the winegrowers are linked to the history of the town and have taken its cloister as their emblem, signing their vintages with it. On the left bank, winegrowers have gathered around the Cave de Cocumont and its now legendary Romanesque church.
