Galerie d'Art Sacré
The Sacred Art Gallery, installed in the former parish library of Marmande, stands out as an important heritage and historical space.
Today it serves as a setting for an exhibition gallery of sacred art objects. This room, opening wide onto the cloister through a large glass wall barred with wood, is a real showcase for these objects so rarely presented to the public. It highlights more than twenty liturgical objects from the churches of Notre-Dame de Marmande, Saint-Vincent de Coussan, Notre-Dame de Beyssac and the Saint-Benoît chapel such as chalices, monstrances- sun, reliquaries, processional crosses…
It also houses an exceptional “Stations of the Cross” by contemporary painter Rémi Trotereau, dedicated to “Passion”, a work of rare emotional power.
