Summer Day has been the annual gathering since 2015 of dozens of renowned graffiti artists from all over France. These street art ambassadors, simply equipped with masks and aerosol cans, have only a few hours to decorate the city's gray walls. In 2023 again, they will be able to meet the challenge. We call them the “Graffiti Jam”! Here is their story…

It was in 2015 that the first edition of the Summer Day. Since then, the fine Graffiti Jam team has spread to several strategic locations in the city, revisiting themes ranging from 40s cartoons to Marvel superheroes. Having carte blanche, they allow spooky, offbeat and humorous visions to filter through their works in lively, warm and always jubilant tones. This 1,5 km long discovery trail can be done by bike or by car.

Looking forward to the session in June 2023!

Jean Bernège Stadium

01 – The Jean Bernège Stadium

If the exterior part of the stadium's surrounding wall had already been visited by our elite team in 2016, we will have to wait until 2022 for the Graffiti Jam to truly take over the lair of the Phoenix, the Tonneins rugby league club. Result: a 360° view of the stadium for sublime graffiti on a blue background, only visible on match days. Go Phoenix!

skate park

03 – The skate park

In every city in the world, the skate park is the emblematic place of Graf. In Tonneins, this is the third time that it has been visited by the Graffiti Jam. Because let’s remember, Graf is an ephemeral art! In 2021, Skeletor and company have therefore given way to frescoes with manga influences, even if one of them uses a logo dear to small car enthusiasts. Can you find which one?

Place Jules Ferry

04 – Place Jules Ferry

Retro atmosphere with Dick Tracy lego version, Betty Boop, Felix the cat, Droopy and other crazy cartoon heroes. It's colorful, it's funny and it's impossible to imagine this place without these works today. Thank you Graffiti Jam!

Silos

05 – Silos

The nearby Germillac college has received its dose of Summer Day, but it's reserved for teenagers. For older children, you have to push a little further and that's heavy! The evil Thanos, the terrifying Galactus and the Incredible Hulk deconstruct the cylindrical shapes of silos and hangars. This is how the Graffiti Jam achieves the feat of transforming an industrial zone into a “Comics in loose mode” theme park.

Where can we find our graffiti?
